Cookies Policy
This website is deliberately light on tracking. Here is exactly what is stored on your device, why it is stored, and how to remove it.
01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Related technologies — local storage and session storage — work in a similar way but keep the data in the browser rather than sending it back with every request.
Cookies are commonly grouped as:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function or to honour a choice you made. No consent is required for these.
- Preference — remember settings such as language or layout.
- Analytics — measure how the site is used.
- Marketing — build a profile of your interests for advertising.
02What this website actually uses
This website does not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking of any kind. It stores one entry in your browser to remember what you chose in the cookie notice, so that the notice does not reappear on every page.
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ecsb-cookie-choice |
Local storage | Strictly necessary | Records whether you selected “Accept” or “Essential only” in the cookie notice, so the notice is not shown again. | Until you clear your browser storage |
This entry contains a single word. It holds no identifier, no personal data, and it is never transmitted to our servers or to anyone else.
03Third-party requests
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google does not set cookies for font requests, but as with any request to a third-party server, your IP address and browser information are visible to that provider for the purpose of delivering the files. Google’s handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Beyond fonts, this site embeds no third-party scripts, no social media widgets, no advertising networks and no video players.
04Server logs
Independently of cookies, our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser type) for security and availability purposes. This is not done through cookies and cannot be switched off from within the site. Retention is limited to the period set by the provider.
05Managing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser — the cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit.
Because the site sets no analytics or marketing cookies, choosing “Essential only” and choosing “Accept” currently result in the same technical behaviour. The notice exists so that your preference is recorded, and so that it is already in place if optional cookies are introduced later.
06Browser controls
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage:
Blocking storage entirely will not break this website; you will simply see the cookie notice on every visit.
07Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track visitors across websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We will honour such signals if we ever introduce optional tracking.
08Legal background
The use of cookies and similar technologies in Romania is governed by Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, read together with the GDPR. Strictly necessary storage may be used without consent; anything else requires your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
09Changes to this policy
If we introduce additional cookies, this page and the cookie notice will be updated before they are set, and you will be asked to make a fresh choice.
